In celebration of Back to the Future Day, we recreate the cinematic blockbuster scene with the ultra rare £100k limited edition Nike Mag, a 3D Printed Jet Suit worth an astounding £340k and a priceless DeLorean Time Machine car. As well as a look at our new future-proofed signature product.
The iconic Back to the Future film gave people in 1985 a glimpse of what the future could be like. We may have not invented time travel (or hoverboards for that matter) but we did get an interesting look at the future that has come to pass! With this in mind, we have set socially responsible and sustainable goals across our product range. Throughout the video, you are introduced to our new Crep Protect spray which features an environmentally friendly recyclable aluminium can, a sustainable alternative to our existing spray can.
We show we are no stranger to testing our signature spray on ultra-rare sneakers. Throwing it back to 2015, we performed our ‘iconic ketchup test’ on the limited-edition Nike Mags, limited to only 1,500 pairs globally! Water is poured off the toe box revealing our spray has done its job to protect the shoes, check out the full video here.
Fast forward to 2022, and we are ready to put our new and improved spray to the test! Nike released a new version of the Nike Mag in 2016 which features an automatic lacing system and a foot motion sensor. The production was limited to only 89 pairs globally. These went up for auction and raised an impressive $6.75 million for Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. We got our hands on number 3 of 89!
Our new video shows the Nike Mag high-top sneakers in full swing as they tighten around the actor's foot automatically once the foot is inserted, recreating the scene from the movie and the pair worn by Michael J Fox's character Marty McFly. Highlighting the release of our new aluminium spray can, the actor sprays Crep Protect over the Nike Mag self-lacing sneakers. Our new spray is a versatile shoe protector that covers the shoes in an invisible protective barrier, beading liquids to reduce stain and dirt deposits.
But we did not stop there…
We of course had to get our hands on ‘Gravity Industries’ Jet Suit to bring to life flight on a hoverboard that was inspired by the 1989 blockbuster movie. As well as the official DeLorean Time Machine car, which was used at Universal Studios Hollywood and has been signed by all the major cast and crew.
