IT’S OFFICIAL! Guinness World Records™ Title Holder

We are proud to announce that on the 13th of November 2022 at Wembley Boxpark, Crep Protect set the Guinness World Record™ title for the most number of trainers/ shoes cleaned simultaneously at any one time (325, to be exact).

The record attempt saw hundreds of attendees assemble to be in with a chance of etching their name in history and become one of the few across the globe to be an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORD holder. Hosting the event, Axel Blake Britain's Got Talent 2022 winner and our in-house cleaning specialist were guiding the participants through the process. With each group having a steward overseeing the cleaning, working under the official Guinness World Record adjudicators.

To measure the attempt we counted the participants into the event area and divided them into groups of 50, each group had a steward overseeing the cleaning and was working under the official Guinness World Record adjudicators. The participants had a minimum of 5 minutes to clean their sneakers continuously using our Ultimate sneaker cleaning products.

Setting the record in just 5 minutes! The attendees were rewarded a rare World Record medal, a myriad of Crep Protect products, a limited-edition hoodie and the chance to win a trip to New York (winner announced on our Instagram live on the 18th November).

Leaving the venue, the attendees were ecstatic to have been part of history and have their name in the Guinness World Record™ book.

“It has been a fantastic event and having successfully achieved the ‘Most people cleaning a pair of trainers/sneakers simultaneously’, Crep Protect have become Officially Amazing and joined an elite group of GUINNESS WORLD RECORD title holders.”

Andrew Fanning from Guinness World Record™:

“It has been a pleasure to have been invited here today to adjudicate this Guinness World Records title attempt.”

Following the success, we donated all cleaned shoes to ShoeAid UK. We wanted to make a difference to help reduce footwear poverty and waste. The national charity based in the UK source and supply free footwear so no child or adult need go without shoes. Over 2 million shoes are thrown into landfill every week. On average, one pair of shoes takes upwards of 1000 years to biodegrade. Shoe Aid is helping to avoid an environmental disaster for shoe manufacturers and distributors.
