Best Sneakers Releases: 2024 (So Far)

Sneakerheads we are more than halfway through the sneaker calendar, which only means one thing; it’s time to review some of the most lauded sneaker releases of 2024.

From colourful enterprises from Salehe Bembury to the countless revisits to the OG models that have been etched in the Nike history books, there has been plenty of heritage to sink your teeth into and lucky for you, there are loads more releases on the way.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s look back at some of our favourite sneaker releases of 2024 so far and let us know what you think of our lineup in the comments below!

1. Air Jordan 4 ‘Bred’ Reimagined

Air Jordan 4 'Bred' Reimagined

We kick off this lineup with a cheeky revisit to the Jordan 4s. And nothing else says anniversary year than revisiting one of the most iconic colourways of all time - behold the ‘Bred’ 4s. Reincarnated as the rather nostalgic ‘Reimagined’ pack this one is sneaker purists' dream - full grain leathers? Check, ‘Nike Air’ stamped heels? Check and plenty of cushioning is bedded below in the Visible Air midsole system, I mean you can’t go wrong with history repeating itself.

2. Futura Laboratories x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Bleached Aqua’

After waiting what seemed like a lifetime for this release, the Futura Laboratories x Nike SB Dunk Low dominated the sneaker world in May with their artistic ‘Bleached Aqua’ rendition and we haven’t stopped talking about it ever since.

An airy mesh base dresses this one, while contemporary detailing, that arrives in a synergy of blues, purples, pinks, black and white garnishes the toe cap and sides. Futura signature branding adds a touch of heritage to the side heel and traction-certified outsoles add a sturdy completion to this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

3. Huf x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Medium Grey’

The HUF x Nike Air Max 1 'Medium Grey' is due to be a highlight in the 2024 sneaker lineup, brilliantly revamping their classic 2004 collaboration with a blend of timeless style and modern innovation.

This sneaker is nothing less than a visual masterpiece, with a colour scheme that strikes a perfect balance between bold and refined. The 'Anthracite' leather upper offers a sleek, contemporary look, while the 'Pear' accents provide a vibrant pop of colour. The 'Medium Grey' and 'Flat Pewter' details add a harmonious contrast, ensuring these sneakers will stand out in any collection.

4. Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Blue’

Returning after a 12-year hiatus, the Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Blues’ has circulated its way back to our rotations, and let’s say this one is a homecoming like no other. Landing in a crisp white leather, upscaled in titular shades of blue and grey, which offers a luminous touch of colour to the mesh-induced sides.

The ‘Nike Air’ branded heel tab and Jumpman logos on the tongue and the upper midsoles reinstate heritage throughout, while visible Air cushioning lies below for optimal cushioning.

5. Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack ‘Sail’

Travis Scott's debut signature shoe with Jordan Brand, the Jordan Jumpman Jack Trainer, is a blend of his unique style and Jordan's legacy. Inspired by the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG 'Reverse Mocha', the 'Sail' edition features a refined palette of white, brown, and tan.

Crafted from premium tumbled leather and durable canvas, it showcases the iconic reverse Swoosh and Cactus Jack motifs. Merging elements of the Air Trainer 1 and Dunk, this sneaker honours basketball's golden era while embracing a modern skate shoe aesthetic.

6. Nike Air Max Plus ‘Voltage Purple’

Featuring a bold blue mesh upper with a white gradient, intercepted by black TPU overlays and mudguard provide a sleek contrast, while the vibrant orange Swooshes bring an eye-catching pop. The orange Nike Air emblem and classic yellow TN logo add extra flair. With a white PU foam midsole, orange Tuned Air units, and a purple shank plate for stability, these sneakers are as reliable as they are flashy.
