Air Jordan 3 ‘Lucky Shorts’ Celebrates 40 Years of Jordan Brand

As Jordan Brand approaches its monumental 40th anniversary in 2025, the label is diving deep into the rich lore of Michael Jordan’s legendary career.

Air Jordan 3 'Lucky Shorts'

Among the exciting retros set to release, one standout is the Air Jordan 3 ‘Lucky Shorts’, a tribute to one of MJ’s quirky superstitions.

Michael Jordan, renowned for his game-day rituals, believed in the good luck of his University of North Carolina practice shorts. He famously wore these shorts under his Chicago Bulls uniform throughout his NBA career, bringing a piece of his college days to every game. The new Air Jordan 3 ‘Lucky Shorts’ commemorates this unique part of his legacy with a fresh and nostalgic twist.

Design Details:

According to rumours from zSneakerHeadz, the Air Jordan 3 ‘Lucky Shorts’ will feature a colour palette inspired by Jordan’s alma mater. The anticipated hues include ‘Summit White’, ‘Hydrogen Blue’, ‘Legend Blue’, ‘Photon Dust’, ‘Pure Platinum’, and ‘Sail’. These colours promise to deliver a visually appealing and versatile sneaker that echoes the spirit of the UNC shorts.

Although we have not seen official images, the speculative mock-ups suggest a clean, stylish design. The ‘Lucky Shorts’ theme is expected to resonate with fans, adding a layer of storytelling to the iconic Air Jordan 3 silhouette. This release is part of a broader celebration that includes other seminal retros like the Air Jordan 5 ‘Metallic’, ‘Grape’, and the Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’.

Scheduled for release in Spring 2025, the Air Jordan 3 ‘Lucky Shorts’ will likely be available through Nike SNKRS and select retailers, with an expected price tag of around $210 USD. Stay tuned for more updates and a first look at this highly anticipated sneaker.

As we await official confirmation and images, the buzz around the Air Jordan 3 ‘Lucky Shorts’ continues to grow. This release not only celebrates a significant milestone for Jordan Brand but also honours the quirky, endearing traditions of the man behind the Jumpman logo.
