KAWS X AIR JORDAN 4 ‘DARK GREY’ MAKES ITS COMEBACK IN 2027 Some trainers barely survive a season of hype. Others keep sneakerheads checking resale prices for a decade. Speculative mock-up by @zSneakerHeadz & Sneaker Files Introduction:The KAWS x Air Jordan 4 belongs firmly in the second camp, and a new ‘Dark Grey’ colourway could finally give collectors another shot at the collaboration.Brian Donnelly, better known as KAWS, is reportedly reconnecting with Jordan Brand for a Summer 2027 release. Arriving during the partnership’s tenth anniversary year, this would become its third Air Jordan 4 colourway, following 2017’s ‘Cool Grey’ and ‘Black’ editions. What Could the KAWS Jordan 4 ‘Dark Grey’ Look Like?Think grey skies with considerably better wardrobe potential. The reported ‘Dark Grey/Dark Grey’ colour scheme suggests a tonal look, although official imagery has yet to reveal the finished design.Speculative mock-up by @zSneakerHeadz & Sneaker Files The originals traded the Jordan 4’s familiar finish for textured suede, decorated with KAWS’ recognisable Companion hand artwork. ‘XX’ heel branding and glow-in-the-dark outsoles helped turn an already recognisable silhouette into something collectors wanted to display as much as wear. Those signatures are expected to return, but remain unconfirmed for 2027. Until photographs surface, treat detailed mock-ups as possibilities rather than product previews.KAWS x Air Jordan 4 ‘Dark Grey’ Release Date and PriceThe KAWS x Air Jordan 4 ‘Dark Grey’ is currently expected on 15 May 2027, with men’s sizing and a reported $500 retail price. UK listings indicate £400, while the style code is JU4624-002.Expected release channels include KAWS, Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers, although final availability still needs confirmation.Speculative mock-up by @zSneakerHeadz & Sneaker Files That price certainly demands a pause before checkout. Still, for fans who missed the original releases, a fresh colorway offers something more appealing than another evening scrolling resale listings. For now, keep the date pencilled in and watch for official images. Ten years later, KAWS could make grey feel exciting again.Next on Crep Daily: Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Triple White’ Squares Up NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW ‘TRIPLE WHITE’ SQUARES UP Someone at Nike has been cutting corners. Literally. The Nike Air Force 1 Low Square Toe ‘Triple White’ gives the familiar white sneaker an angular makeover, with a reported release date of 6 November 2026.For a shoe that can command attention with little more than a fresh white upper, changing its outline is a surprisingly loud statement. Forget a new colourway or another collaboration: this time, the conversation starts right at your toes. The Air Force 1 Gets SquareThe biggest departure sits up front, where the rounded toe gives way to an extended forefoot with a flat edge and pronounced corners. There’s something of a dress shoe about it, with a little cowboy boot attitude thrown into the mix. Your Forces appear to have made other plans for the evening.Elsewhere, Nike keeps things familiar. The all-white leather upper and traditional heel construction preserve the visual connection to the original, making the altered proportions especially noticeable. From behind, you could easily miss the difference. Turn sideways, and the plot thickens. That balance is what makes this version interesting. White-on-white styling usually lets an Air Force 1 blend into almost any wardrobe; here, the simplest colour treatment puts the unusual shape under the spotlight.First shown during Paris Fashion Week earlier this spring, the design has already divided opinion. A matching ‘Triple Black’ edition is also set to arrive, offering the same squared silhouette in a darker finish.Nike Air Force 1 Square Toe Release DetailsAccording to Sneaker Bar Detroit, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Square Toe ‘Triple White’ is scheduled for 6 November 2026, priced at $130, through Nike and select retailers. Unisex sizing is expected, with the pair listed under style code JF7766-100.In other sneaker news, Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 6 'Grey Fog' Set For Fall 2027 BLACKPRINT 02 – BASS IN BLACK: HOW BLACK BRITISH MUSIC SHAPED UK SNEAKER CULTURE This month, we celebrate the individuals who have challenged the status quo and paved their own lane of greatness within the creative industry. Our three- part ‘BLACKPRINT’ series is an ode to those individuals who have inspired, motivated, and uplifted the community in many more ways than one. Whether it's spitting eclectic rhythms on a rap beat, being the upper echelon of fashion trends, or becoming the kingpin of the courts, every moment matters, and we want to make a Blackprint of it. We continue the Blackprint series by revisiting the eclectic charm of the UK Black music scene and how it has become a cornerstone in sneaker culture.1. 1990s: Generation of JungleImage courtesy of DJ History Website The 90s opened the doors for a new recipe of sound. Fast breakbeats mixed with reggae riddims and the Dancehall landscape of the West Indies; Jungle was one of the UK's defining expressions of Black rave culture and was unlike anything we experienced before. It was fresh, cool in demeanour, and delivered the slinkiest of charm to the underground music scene. Built on a community of inner-city Black ravers, B-Boys, suburban youth, and sound system bandits that grooved to the sounds of Fabio and Grooverider's legendary Rage residency at London's Heaven nightclub, with a new style on foot.Skanking to 150 BPM for hours in a hotbox venue required comfort, agility, and endurance that performance trainers like the adidas Torsion range were designed to provide. Its Torsion System offered flexibility and midfoot support on a variety of surfaces, from sticky rave floors to grassy grounds, pairing its efforts with EVA foam cushioning that prioritised comfort.Nike's performance lines, including the cushioned comfort of the Air Max 90s, also became part of the decade's growing trainer culture, alongside Reebok Classics and PUMA Suedes. By the late 90s, the arrival of the Nike Air Max Plus, with its bright gradient colourways, introduced another bold silhouette to the streets. With brands offering a flurry of fluorescent styles, it meant that Black youth could create a style identity of their own. Baggy jeans, designer tracksuits, chunky gold jewellery, and those comfort trainers reassured the rave-goers that they would always look the part. 2. Grime Scene Style To The MaxImage courtesy of Flight ClubThe turn of the millennium introduced a new generation of Black British musical talent. Straight from the council estates of East London, Grime was born, bringing together the bass-heavy influences of UK Garage, Jungle and Dancehall with razor-sharp lyricism and unapologetic attitude. From pirate radio stations to legendary clashes, artists like Wiley, Dizzee Rascal and Kano were pioneering a sound that would become the voice of a generation. And what was on their feet? Nothing less than a fresh pair of Air Max.The Nike Air Max 95, affectionately known as the '110s' thanks to its original £110 price tag, became an unofficial uniform of the Grime scene. Paired with oversized tracksuits, hoodies and fitted caps, the silhouette represented more than just footwear. It was a badge of identity, status and belonging. But the Air Max love affair didn't stop there. In 2003, Dizzee Rascal famously rocked the Nike Air Max BW on the cover of his groundbreaking debut album, Boy In Da Corner, cementing the Swoosh's place in Grime history.Six years later, the East London MC took things one step further, joining forces with Nike and designer Ben Drury to create the Air Max 90 'Tongue N Cheek', celebrating his fourth studio album.Dressed in premium cream leather, brushed suede and playful pink detailing, the limited-edition collaboration was a tongue-in-cheek nod to the very culture that helped shape his career. From the ends to the international stage, Grime wasn't just changing the sound of British music. It was putting British trainer culture firmly on the map. 3. Modern Trainer WarfareImage courtesy of @clint419 via InstagramFast-forward to the 2020s, and the UK Black music scene has entered a new era. From the hard-hitting 808s of UK Drill to the slick wordplay of British Rap, a new generation of artists has taken the foundations laid by Jungle and Grime and made a Blackprint of their own.And just like their predecessors, they've brought a fresh sense of style along for the ride.Enter Corteiz.Founded by British-Nigerian creative Clint419, the London-born streetwear brand has become synonymous with the modern UK Rap scene, earning the approval of some of Britain's biggest musical talents, including Central Cee, Dave and Stormzy. From music videos to everyday streetwear, Corteiz has become a recognisable part of the scene's visual identity.Remember Dave and Central Cee's chart-topping 2023 anthem 'Sprinter'? Beyond the infectious bars and slick visuals, Dave's Corteiz jacket was making a statement of its own, proving that British streetwear could command just as much attention as the music itself. But Corteiz wasn't finished making noise. In 2023, the brand joined forces with Nike to reimagine a certified UK classic: the Air Max 95.Its debut 'Gutta Green' colourway combined military-inspired green hues, camouflage detailing and the unmistakable Corteiz Alcatraz branding, breathing new life into a silhouette that had already spent decades dominating British trainer culture. The relationship between Corteiz and UK Rap reached another level in 2025, with Central Cee and Unknown T appearing in the brand's 'LUNDUN' campaign celebrating its Air Max 95 'Honey Black' release. From the 110s dominating Grime's golden era to Corteiz putting its own stamp on the silhouette, the relationship between Black British music and trainer culture has come full circle. The sound has evolved. The style has followed. But the Blackprint remains. Image courtesy of @zsneakerheadz & Sneaker Files The BMX superstar is taking his partnership with Jordan Brand for another spin, as the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 6 ‘Grey Fog’ is reportedly joining the sneaker release calendar for Autumn 2027.And by the looks of things, Nigel isn't planning on hitting the brakes anytime soon.Following news of his upcoming Air Jordan 6 ‘Paperboy’, the Queens-born BMX rider is reportedly preparing a second colourway of Michael Jordan's iconic sixth signature silhouette.A Retro Ride With a Gaming Twist? While the inspiration behind the Air Jordan 6 ‘Grey Fog’ remains under wraps, there's an interesting theory making the rounds.Remember Paperboy? The legendary 1985 arcade game that had players delivering newspapers on bicycles while dodging everything in sight?Well, the upcoming colourway might be taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane.Dressed in Grey Fog, Metallic Silver, Lyon Blue and Varsity Maize, the sneaker's rumoured palette shares similarities with the classic Nintendo game's grey cartridge and colourful cover artwork.Coincidence? We'll let you decide.Image courtesy of @zsneakerheadz & Sneaker Files Although official images haven't surfaced, early reports suggest a predominantly grey upper, complete with Nigel's signature miniature Swoosh near the toe and unmistakable ‘Bike Air’ branding. When Is the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 6 ‘Grey Fog’ Releasing?According to Sneaker Files and zSneakerHeadz, the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 6 ‘Grey Fog’ is expected to arrive in Autumn 2027, potentially between July and September. The collaboration will reportedly land through Nike SNKRS and selected Jordan Brand retailers, with pricing yet to be confirmed. With two Air Jordan 6 collaborations potentially rolling out in 2027, Nigel Sylvester's sneaker game is showing no signs of slowing down.Next up on Crep Daily: Corteiz Links Up With Nike On The Shox R419 Collection
