Pokémon x adidas: Every Sneaker From the 30th Anniversary Collection

Thirty years after Pokémon first burst onto the scene, the global franchise is celebrating the milestone in style with one of its biggest sneaker collaborations yet.

Introduction:

The Pokémon x adidas Originals 30th Anniversary Collection reimagines a roster of classic adidas silhouettes through the lens of some of the series' most iconic Pokémon, blending nostalgia, creative storytelling, and streetwear appeal.

Rather than focusing on a single model, the collection spans classics such as the Superstar, Samba OG, Pro Model, Spezial, ZX 8000, Adistar Control 5, Adistar XLG 2.0, and F50 Tunit Mega, with each pair drawing inspiration from a different Pokémon.

Design Details:

Pikachu takes center stage with three standout releases. A fuzzy Superstar and matching Pro Model recreate the Electric-type's unmistakable yellow fur, while a clean white Superstar covered in Pikachu graphics offers a more understated option.

The Charmander evolution line also shines, progressing from warm cream and orange tones on the Charmander Superstar to aggressive claw-inspired detailing on the Charmeleon edition.

Topping it all off is the Charizard Superstar Vintage, complete with dramatic wing-shaped overlays that give the legendary Fire-type a larger-than-life presence.

Elsewhere, Ghost-type fans are treated to haunting takes on the Adistar Control 5 and Adistar XLG 2.0, inspired by Haunter and Gengar respectively.

Mewtwo receives perhaps the most intricate storytelling, appearing across the Samba OG, Spezial and ZX 8000 with clever details including triangular eyelets, a neck-inspired heel loop and a Master Ball lace dubrae.

Rounding out the collection is Rayquaza, whose green and black colour palette powers both the Adistar Control 5 and the football-inspired F50 Tunit Mega.

From character tongue graphics and Poké Ball lace dubraes to textured materials and bespoke overlays, every pair celebrates Pokémon's legacy while staying true to adidas Originals' design DNA.

Release Info:

The Pokémon x adidas Originals 30th Anniversary Collection is set to launch globally in September 2026 via adidas and select retailers, and it could be one of the year's most sought-after sneaker releases.
